In response to the reactions by Nigerians worldwide and other Africans, South Africa’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, Bobby Monroe, has denied reports of Xenophobic attacks in his country.

Monroe denied that the attacks in South Africa are xenophobic and targetted at Nigerians.

This is coming a few hours after the clip of the Deputy Police chief said that the numbers of foreigners in the region are too high and that could be the reason why the violence is fueled.
The Federal Government had earlier on Monday summoned South Africa over the recent xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa.
