UNICAL Confirms First Female Vice-Chancellor

The University of Calabar has officially confirmed Professor Florence Banku Obi as the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of the University.

Professor Florence Obi becomes the 11th substanstive vice-chancellor and the institution’s first female Vice-Chancellor.

Her Appointment which takes effect from November 2020 will see her succeed Prof ZanaAkpagu.

Prof Florence of special needs education for 13 years after attaining the award of a professor in 2007. Prof Florence is a native of Bansan Osokom, Boki Local Government Area of Cross River State. She is a mother of four and grandmother of six.
