Cross River State governor, Ben Ayade has expressed satisfaction with the progress of work at the groundnut oil processing factory in Nyanya, Bekwarra Local Government Area.

Speaking shortly after inspecting ongoing work at the factory, the governor while stating his reason for sitting the mill in Bekwara, said the local government is known to be the largest producer of groundnuts and the best quality in Nigeria.

Governor Ayade, further highlighted that the plant which is projected to mill 12 thousand litres per hour on completion, will produce natural vegetable oil from groundnuts, and also employ over 500 indigenes.

In Akwa Ibom State, Governor Udom Emmanuel says the proposed fertilizer plant in the state would gulp the sum of 1.4 billion dollar, and engage 7000 youths.

The Governor who came up with this in a statement issued by the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Iniobong Ememobong, also appealed to the host communities of the projects to welcome development, instead of stifling the execution of the projects.
