A mother has stunned the internet by demonstrating how she ‘deep cleans’ her vacuum cleaner by opening it with a 20c coin.

In a video uploaded to TikTok, Australian blogger Chantel Mila shared a four-step solution that keeps her $449 Dyson V7 in pristine condition.

‘A clean home starts with a clean vacuum,’ she wrote in the caption.

The Melbourne mum-of-two, who posts on social media as Mama Mila, starts by emptying the bin and removing it from the dust collector at the back of the machine.

Once emptied, she sprays the bin with water, white vinegar and two drops of lemon juice to kill bacteria and lift any dust residue still lingering inside.

Chantel then uses a 20c coin to unlock the brush head of the Dyson, a narrow slot that is notoriously difficult to open by hand, meaning the brush is rarely cleaned.

She finishes the ‘deep clean’ by removing the filter and rinsing it in cold water.

Regularly cleaning filters, brushes and bins keeps vacuum cleaners in optimum working order, ensuring maximum suction and สล็อต smooth gliding over surfaces.

Chantel reminded viewers to check the care instructions on their models before wetting any part of them to avoid damaging the vacuum.

‘Oh my gosh thank you for sharing this!’ added another.

Others said they had been struggling to open the brush compartment since buying the Dyson.

Care instructions on Dyson’s website do not include Chantel’s four-step method but advise customers to wash the filters of their vacuums once a month.
