Do not Protest on June 12 – Cross river state police

The Cross River State Police Command says it is aware of plans by some unscrupulous elements to cause panic and security threat during the June 12 Democracy Celebration, charging members of the public to be patriotic and report any suspicious movement.

The commissioner of Police, Sikiru Akande, in a statement issued on Thursday, by the Police Public relations Officer, DSP Irene Ugbo advised residents to shun all forms of unlawful procession, protest and gathering in the state and not to allow anyone destroy the peace of the state.

Meanwhile, the Assistant Police Public Relations Officer of the police command, ASP Igri Ewa in a telephone interview with our correspondent reiterated that no one should abuse the peace and harmony being enjoyed in Cross River state.

ASP Ewa however urged parents and Guardians to checkmate the activities of their wards.
