Cross River Police Command Arrest Four Robbery Suspects

Cross River State Police Command has arrested four armed robbery suspects and recovered a stolen vehicle, in its quest to get rid of criminal elements in the state.

A statement issued on Wednesday, signed by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Irene Ugbo revealed that three suspects, 20-year-old Williams Kingsley, 22-year-old Joseph Nsa and 25 year-old Etim Effiong who robbed in Calabar south on Wednesday at 6 am were arrested by men of the Anti-Cultism and Kidnapping Squad following a complaint by the victim.

The statement added that one Udo Bassey who stole a vehicle, in an attempt to evade soldiers around 8 miles in Calabar, sustained bullet wounds and the vehicle was recovered.

The Cross River Police Command further said investigations have commenced and all suspects will be arraigned in court.
