The Cross river State police command on Tuesday, paraded the founder of Victory is Sweet church, Pastor Michael Bassey and other 30 suspects for various crimes.
Pastor Micheal was reportedly caught in his residence at No. 56 Uwanse Street Calabar with Human skull and some fetish materials.
Addressing journalist at the Cross River state police Headquarter Diamond Hill, the Commissioner of police CP Sikiru Akande said the police is resolute on her drive to restore security across the state inline with the inspector general mandate.
“I want to equivocally State that the resolve of the inspector general of police, IGP Baba Usman Alkali NPM, to restore peace nationwide is evident and a platform on which the command is tenaciously waging war on all criminal elements across the state, dislodging and neutralizing their criminal tendencies/schemes and will never renege on this no matter whose ox is gored.”
Among the suspects paraded were; Victor Udo for armed robbery, Christian Edem for Murder, Micheal Udom, Paul Benjamin, Etta Odey for murder and armed robbery, Michael Bassey for Unlawful possession of Human skull/threat to life/invocation of juju.
Others paraded suspects were; Ini- Obong Okon and Kingsley Umouto for armed robbery, Edet Essien for street light vandalism, Effiong Eneobong, David Ibangha and Honesty Eyo for armed robbery/ cultism and unlawful possession of fire arms, EkengEkpo and Friday Ogar for cultism, Uko Edem, Nancy Edet, Inemesit Edem and Christopher Edet for child trafficking etc.
