The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN, in Cross River State on Tuesday, shut down courts indefinitely, due to the inability of the State Government to meet the union’s demands.

In a notice jointly signed by its Chairman, Comrade Enya Ertoti, and Assistant Secretary, Comrade Ashikebesang Eugene, the Judiciary Staff Union directed all members to remain at home from Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023, until further notice.

The notice, which was pasted at the gate of the State Secretariat, Judiciary Headquarters in Calabar on Tuesday, claimed that several notices have been made available to the Government but it has turned on deaf ears.
